You don’t need a funnel guru or a 12-part sequence to make email marketing work. You just need to write like a human, offer real value, and make it easy for people to take action.
Here’s how to write emails that your audience actually wants to open — and that get results.
Step 1: Nail the Subject Line
No opens = no conversions. Keep it short, specific and curiosity-driven.
Try this:
"Struggling to get leads? Start here."
"The website mistake you're probably making"
Step 2: Keep the Intro Short
You’ve got about 3 seconds to keep them reading. Make your first line count.
Try this:
A surprising stat
A quick question
A bold, punchy line
Step 3: One Message Per Email
Trying to say everything = saying nothing.
Stick to one core point, and make it easy to follow with spacing, subheadings, and bullets.
Step 4: Add a Clear CTA
What do you want them to do? Click, reply, book, read? Don’t make them guess.
Try this:
"Reply with the word FIX and I’ll send you 2 tips."
"Click here to grab the free template."
Step 5: Sound Like a Human
Cut the corporate tone. Write how you talk — with polish.
If you wouldn’t say it in a voice note, don’t send it.
